DON'T get caught up in paying top dollar for Name Brand clubs just for the sake of impressing your friends. I'll play you all day long with your $500+ clubs with my $160 ones!! Received my Snake Bite C8 4-pw irons today. Went to the range and was pleasantly surprised. I'm a 5 hdcp and have been playing Taylormade Rac OS irons for the last 4 years. My tendency was to miss target slightly right. Went and checked my lie angle prior to ordering new set and discovered I need a more upright set up. I ordered new set +2 and BINGO! Ball flight straightened up and hitting them pure. Several yards longer due to the 2 degree stronger loft. Clubs look great and very pleased with the service and fast shipping. WOW!!
I just purchased a set of the Snake Bite 4-SW with steel DT lite shafts. I took them out for a round of 18 holes and scored an 88 on a par 72 course!! I had 19 quota points and really hit the ball good! The clubs felt strong, solid and the sweet spot on these things is huge. I especially like how they "cut" under the ball and get it aloft! Gotta say that these clubs are great. My shots are flying 15 to 20 yards further then before. The irons are very forgiving. Even mishit shots have a great flight path. Can't be happier. The one negative are the standard grips. They are good, but not great. If you want a superior tackier grip, upgrade. For beginner players they are absolutely fine. (Posted on 5/18/11)
